The Beach in December

Winter light and the beach, these are few of my favorite things. I don't often have the chance to experience them at the same time but the day after Christmas was unusually warm. It was salty air and cold noses, sea gulls and rosy cheeks, the boardwalk in mittens and a riot of golden light. It's the beach in December.
